Encore Estate Management fought off competition from nine other shortlisted companies to be named Employer of the Year at this year’s prestigious Negotiator Awards, organised by The Negotiator magazine in association with Zoopla Property Group
Widely regarded as the “Oscar’s” of the residential property sector, The Negotiator Awards is also one of the largest with 33 separate categories judged by a panel of industry experts.
Trophies were presented by Mock the Week star and stand-up comedian Ed Byrne at a gala dinner at the London Hilton on Park Lane on 1 November.
This year saw the largest ever number of entries, and shortlists running into double figures, demonstrating both the importance of the event and the level of competition for trophies.
More than 700 property professionals attended the event, which also included a charity casino and live auction hosted by radio and TV presenter Jonny Gould to raise much-needed funds for Crisis.
Encore’s entry for the award focused largely on staff training and development – with a record number of employees currently studying for professional qualifications – and on the company’s flexible approach to staff recognition and reward.
The judges commented on Encore’s “Excellent staff retention with flexible working practices and great vision to support and mentor their team members.”
Encore founders Neil Robinson and Stephen Chard commented, “Employer of the Year is an accolade that everyone at Encore can be proud of. We know we are good at what we do because of the number of satisfied customers who stay with Encore, and because our share of the market is increasing. But estate management is a people business – and the people at the heart of Encore are responsible for delivering the consistently high standards those customers demand.
We are absolutely delighted with the judge’s comments and their recognition of our achievements by presenting Encore with this award.”
